Who are we?

Tadeu Caldas, owner of ecotropic consulting GmbH has been engaged professionally in organic and biodynamic agriculture for the last 40 years as a consultant as well as researcher, trainer, coach and lecturer. His professional work has led him to 60 countries of all continents.

He is a Brazilian agronomist /agricultural engineer based in Europe for the last 35 years, has been elected twice by the global assembly of members of IFOAM* and served its Board of Directors between 1990 and 1994, a very formative period for the international organic movement. During his tenure he supported the regionalization of the federation and its expansion into Asia, Africa and Latin America.

He is also an international adviser for Demeter International having developed biodynamic certified proejcts worldwide for the last 30 years.

He has a MSc degree from Imperial College, University of London. And has been a lecturer, trainer and director of the international course for biodynamic agriculture and rural development of Emerson College in Sussex, UK between 1985 and 1993, training some of the now leaders of the organic movement from many continents.

His work has benefited hundreds of thousands of farmers, as well as companies in farmland up to 15’000 hectares. He also consulted large corporations as well as government projects, NGOs and international agencies.
